5 Reason Why You’ll Love A Work-At-Home Schedule

One reason people are attracted to working from home is the vision of freedom, from the lack time sheets, to the self-boss concept while they make money online. It is a very interesting concept, but you risk wasting quite a lot of time.

My husband spends so much time every day filling out spreadsheets to account for his day. He works for a rather large engineering company and his daily work usually includes a variety of different tasks. He loathes the activity and I have always dismissed it as a waste of time — that is until my home business recently took off and I realized there simply wasn’t enough hours in the day to accomplish all my goals.

I now understand how a spreadsheet keeps track of my tasks and efficiency. If you don’t think you need a schedule for your home businesses then think again — and read on.

After a few inefficient days, my “to do” list seemed to grow immensely every day.

Granted I was going through a rough period of time. My business was going through some growing pains and my personal life was in disarray.

I did a little research and discovered 5 solid reasons to truly embrace this structured lifestyle:

1. It’s too easy to waste time doing low priority tasks
2. It’s very easy to get sidetracked and distracted
3. Unscheduled work time often overlaps into free time to the point where you have none at allUnscheduled work time often completely consumes your free time
4. Your free time can overlap into your work time until you fall behind with important projects
5. Concentrating your time and effort on highest priority projects means more gets done

I’m not the only work at home business person encompassing the schedule. I recently took part in online forum where men and women discussed their willingness to embrace it.

If you find it confusing setting up your schedule and priorities for the day and week then perhaps your significant other or a friend can help you set your schedule.
